TinaSA can do many things besides the basic function as Spectrum Analyzer, with 6 filter band widths from 3KHz to 600KHz, in two frequency ranges:
- 0.1 to 350MHz with super performance, within + - 1dB accuracy,
and one expands frequency range from:
- 240 to 960MHz with a some reduced data.

These extra things that even a professional SA does not always have are:
- Harmonious analysis of e.g. an oscillator or a transmitter
- Automatic measurement of OIP3 f (3rd order intermodulation) of an amplifier or a PA stage
- Phase noise of an oscillator, transmitter or amplifier
- Signal generator with output signal for both the two frequency ranges, with programmable frequency and signal level from -6 to -76dBm for the low range, with AM and FM modulation and a sweep with optional dB step function, up or down for linearity measurement, and user selected sweep range, over the entire range of 0 to 350MHz.

For the high frequency range, with signal level from -38dBm to + 13dBm with 16 pre-defined levels.
- 0 sweep (CW) at selected frequency, which acts as a kind of oscilloscope, or as a Power meter as the readout is selectable in either dBm, dBmV, dBuV, Volt or Watt.
