“The role of parliament in security sector reform in the countries of the Western Balkans” is the name of the book published by the Centre for Civil-Military Relations, with support of the OSCE Mission in Serbia and Montenegro. The papers and authorized discussions from the same titled international conference held in Belgrade, on March 11-th till 14th 2004, are collected in this book. This conference was organized in the view to enable and support the exchange of knowledge and experiences among parliament and government representatives, independent experts, non-governmental organizations and media from Western Balkan countries. “Western Balkan countries should also expand the measures for strengthening trust and cooperation. Mutual exchange of experiences in security sector and armed forces reform could be of the great benefit in this process.
