He worked as a journalist, freelance writer, and movie script editor and writer. During his long career, he received multiple awards and nominations, at home and abroad. He was awarded the Kresnik Award four times (1999, 2001, 2011, 2018), the Prešeren Foundation Award (1979), and the Prešeren Award for his opus in 1993.
