The Body and the neck
The body is made of Alder with a layer of flame maple on top. Alder is the kind of wood used in many high end guitars like Fender. The neck is made from hard Canadian maple. it feels really good in your hands. the fret work is nice, no hard and rough edges and it is polished really well. The neck is adjusted from the bottom and it is absolutely easy to work with.
The Hardware
Staggered locking tuners which hold tuning very well even if you use the tremolo bar so often. One of the most frustrating things about having a guitar is to change the strings. with locking tuners it is piece of a cake. you just put the strings in the holes on tuners and lock it. no need to wind the strings around the posts. As you can see in the picture above, this guitars has a tremolo bridge just like what you see in strat shape guitars. It is made of stainless steel and looks really good and neat.
Electronics
This guitars benefits from two single coil pick ups and a Humbucker in the bridge both created by Cort. The single coil ones are named Voice Toned VTS-63 And the humbucker is called VTH-59. The sound really good although they are a little hot and a little “microphony”. But they can compete with Squier Classic Vibe pickups very well and tone wise I think they are better. There are two knobs on this guitar, One volume and one tone plus a 5 position switch. both feel nice.
Issues!
First it is the color! It is really cheesy and not appealing at all. There is also a so called “Jave sunset” color available. again, cheesy!
Plus As if the guitar was not set up at the factory at all. I had to turn the truss rod wheel for nearly a complete turn to adjust the neck relief. The action was very high and the pickups were so close to the strings that after adjusting the action they touched the strings! Seriously, What is wrong with you Cort!?
