The CD74HC4067 is a 16-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer that uses CMOS technology. It's a bidirectional switch, allowing it to route analog signals in either direction. This makes it useful for selecting one of multiple analog inputs or outputs.

How it works:

Example:
In an Arduino project, you might use the CD74HC4067 to read data from multiple potentiometers using only a few Arduino analog input pins. The Arduino would send the appropriate digital signals to the multiplexer to select each potentiometer in turn, allowing the Arduino to read their values sequentially.
