AlexC Pedals Golden Sap Deluxe Treble Booster Naga Viper Killer

When the switches are in the down position you have the standard treble booster sound. Raw and with more bass, the classic treble booster sound.

A very usable sound but a bit muddy and less defined when used with humbuckers, neck pickups or drop tunings.

In the video the difference in the noise floor between the two pedals is very evident as shown on the EQ. The AlexC Gloden Sap is from 2 to 8 db quieter than the Catalinbread Naga Viper depending on the noise frequencies.

When you put both switches in the up position, there's more definition, less bass and more smoothness in your high frequencies. There's also more string separation.

The pedals gels better with the amp in the way that it doesn't sit on top of your amp's sound. I call it the Deluxe setting.

Of course you can mismatch the switch positions ( one up, one down ) so you get 4 different flavours out of this cool pedal.



It runs on standard Boss type 9 - 18 V center negative power supply. The pedal is in a standard 1590B aluminium enclosure and the dimensions are: 112mm x 60mm x 31mm.
