Available in 22-foot and 35-foot versions, the new, Limited Edition 009s have been designed to commemorate Donzi’s pioneering contributions to offshore racing in the 1960s, including the triumphs of its founder, racing legend Don Aronow.
On the 35 ZR 009, Donzi has employed a custom, lightweight “racing cabin” which features an open, airy design incorporating two removable coolers in lieu of a fiberglass galley, a concealed portable marine head instead of an enclosed head compartment, and a large forward storage area in place of a v-berth. Non-essential components have been removed, the boat’s center of gravity has been moved aft, and overall weight has been reduced by over 300 lbs, compared to the standard 35 ZR, resulting in enhanced performance, a more agile feel, and near-perfect balance.
Only twelve 35 ZR 009s will be offered.
