The SOC 16 is a shorted version of the M14. Much attention was paid to recreating the gun as detailed as possible, and the cocking mechanism, stock and barrel are good examples. This AEG's should primarily be used as a DMR, but can also be used in CQB scenarios, as these do require firepower over larger distances from time to time.
