Superlux R102MK II Ribbon Mic.

The Superlux R102MK II is an active ribbon microphone designed to offer the warm, smooth character of a traditional ribbon mic with the extended high-frequency response typically associated with studio condenser microphones. Unlike the original R102, which rolls off sharply above 6kHz, the MK II maintains a frequency response up to 18,000 Hz.

Active Circuitry: Requires +48V phantom power to operate. This internal preamplifier provides higher sensitivity (-40 dBV/Pa) and lower output impedance compared to passive ribbon mics, making it compatible with a wider range of preamps.
Extended Highs: Features a modified ribbon transducer design that extends its range to 18kHz, a significant jump from the standard version's 15kHz.
Figure-8 Polar Pattern: Captures sound equally from the front and back while rejecting noise from the sides, ideal for Blumlein stereo recording or capturing room ambiance.
Durable Housing: Features a black body with a gold grille to distinguish it from the silver-grilled MK I.
