Only a native speaker can get you to speak perfectly, but only a professional native speaker has the verbal flexibility to talk about whatever you want to talk about, and if you want to learn to speak a language by talking about things that are of no REAL interest to you, well you can do it, but it takes about a hundred times longer, and is about a THOUSAND times more painful.
